Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) 5-Day Course Course Certified BY: European International University (EIU-Paris) Course Description This course will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of CBDCs, from their conceptual design to their technical implementation and regulatory implications. Participants will learn about the different types of CBDCs, their potential benefits and risks, and the challenges of their development and deployment. The history of CBDCs The different types of CBDCs Potential benefits and risks of CBDCs Practice Review Day 2: The Conceptual Design of CBDCs Monetary policy and CBDCs Financial stability and CBDCs Financial inclusion and CBDCs Privacy and CBDCs Practice Review Day 3: The Technical Implementation of CBDCs Distributed ledger technologies and CBDCs CBDC wallet design CBDC payment systems Practice and review Day 4: The Regulatory Implications of CBDCs Anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing regulations Consumer protection regulations Data privacy and security regulations Practice and review Day 5: The Future of CBDCs CBDCs and cross-border payments CBDCs and the programmable economy CBDCs and central bank digital identity Practice and review End of training activities Training Methods The course will be taught using a combination of lectures, case studies, and group discussions. Participants will also have the opportunity to work on a hands-on project to design and implement a CBDC. Assessment Participants will be assessed on their participation in class discussions, their performance on the hands-on project, and their final test. Target Audience This course is designed for policymakers, central bankers, financial regulators, and other professionals who are interested in learning more about CBDCs.
